Gil Salazar brings 12 years of experience in helping people build strong relationships with their horses, with a particular focus on groundwork. His approach emphasizes establishing a deep and meaningful connection between horse and human.
For over two years, Gil has served as an equine specialist and volunteer with Mustard Seed Ranch, where he has been instrumental in providing equine therapy to children in need. In his ongoing efforts to expand the reach of Mustard Seed Ranch, Gil is currently leading an equine youth development program in partnership with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Compton Station.
In addition to his work with Mustard Seed Ranch, Gil is an OC Parks Backcountry Patrol volunteer and an Equestrian Trail Guide with the Irvine Ranch Conservancy in Orange County, California. He also advises and volunteers with the Risen Warriors Foundation, where he helps veterans, and first responders heal by connecting with horses.
Risen Warriors Foundation welcomes veterans through our partnership with TriWest Healthcare Alliance.
