Captain Michelle Mathews is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps and is stationed as the Deputy Comptroller of the 2nd Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, NC. She embarked on her military journey at Camp Pendleton, CA, where she served as a disbursing officer with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2021. 

She deployed once again in 2023, this time to South Korea as part of Operation Eagle Strike. In mid-2023, Captain Mathews relocated to Camp Lejeune, NC, where she continued to excel in her duties. At the end of 2023, she deployed with a task force in response to world response operations, showcasing her leadership and operational prowess on the global stage. Beyond her military service, Captain Mathews is a devoted spouse to her husband, Jared Miller, who also serves in the Marine Corps.

Captain Mathews brings expertise as a Victim Advocate the Department of Defense Sexual Assault Prevention Response Program, having worked closely with individuals impacted by sexual assault.
