Robert served as a machine gunner in a combined anti-armor team (CAAT 1) with 2nd Battalion 6th Marines, Weapons Company. During his time with 2/6, he deployed twice; first was with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) then to Marja, Afghanistan in 2010. During his deployment, Robert was lead vehicle commander of his section. On August 15, 2010, his truck struck a roughly 150lb roadside bomb causing Robert and 2 other marines to be air lifted for medical care. Robert received a Purple Heart from injuries sustained that day.
In his role as the founder and CEO of Risen Warriors, Robert is responsible for setting the strategic vision to accomplish the foundation’s mission; helping veterans and first responders be the healthiest they can be mentally, physically and spiritually. Robert’s business approach focuses on his team and clients first. Other responsibilities include overseeing financial performance and pursuing growth opportunities. Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in clinical psychology from Vanguard University.
Robert has been married to his wife, Jamie, for 5 years and has three children under 3 years old. His hobbies are CrossFit, Deep End Fitness, and Underwater Torpedo League.
